Skrlac Studios LLC and Creepster Customs represent the artwork of Douglas A. Skrlac. Doug received a degree in architecture from the Ohio State University, and his artistic endeavors have spanned a wide variety of media and subject matter. Over the years, he has worked in two dimensions with pencils, pastels, watercolor, oils, acrylics and photography, and in three dimensions with clay and metal sculptures, as well as architectural design.

In February of 2008, Doug attended an Airbrush Action magazine "Getaway" event and had the opportunity to take a four-day class on pin-up art with internationally-recognized artists Lorenzo Sperlonga and Steve Driscoll. Doug soon began using an airbrush to paint everything from portraits on canvas to flames on mailboxes. In May of 2008, he had the opportunity to take a class with Craig Fraser, Ryan ("Ryno") Templeton, "Kiwi" Terry Stephens and (again) Steve Driscoll -- this time focusing specifically on automotive graphics. Armed with his natural artistic talent, a well-equipped home art studio, and the strong encouragement of some outstanding artists, Doug began to paint in earnest. Today, he continues to regularly participate in the Getaway events, often being called upon to assist the instructors.

While he continues to paint for his own enjoyment, Doug has been commissioned to paint custom artwork on fire helmets, motorcycles and automobiles, and even a guitar, as well as portraits. Be sure to visit the Portfolio section of this website for an overview of his work.
